Fishing around Alnmouth in Northumberland

I had my most successful year ever fishing in Northumberland during 2009, bagging two nice salmon and half a dozen sea trout on the River Aln. Some very pleasant dayswere also spent on the Coquet, where I saw others land good sea trout.

Terns Turn-up at Beadnall Bay

In mid-May The National Trust cordoned off a section of the beach Beadnall Bay to safeguard a colony of rare little terns who seem to have chosen it as a nesting site.
